Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Secretary in our Neurology department. This is a band 3 part-time post working 30 hours per week based at Colchester Hospital.
You will be based in Colchester Hospital, working with a well-established, high achieving and committed team. In this post you will provide efficient and pro-active secretarial and administrative support. You will be the first point of contact for patients, arranging appointments for target patients and will deal with a range of queries. You will work as part of our administrative team in supporting and covering other colleagues in the department.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who is flexible and has excellent administration and communication skills.
Excellent communication skills are a must and the ability to prioritise and plan your work, without direct supervision.
In this role you will be responsible for carrying out secretarial administrative duties, adhering to policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive high quality service, and to be able to deal efficiently and courteously with patient and staff enquiries.

- Knowledge of NHS policies including Patient Access Policy and 18 Weeks including validation
Education and Qualifications
