Person specification

Experience

Essential criteria

Experience in management or clinical leadership within an acute NHS organisation
Experience of leading change projects with impact at a Trust wide level
Experience of presenting to large and small groups including up to Board level
Experience of working in a complex environment
Experience of leading change initiatives within an operational or clinical team
Identifying and interpreting national policy and implementing required changes
Experience of engagement and motivating teams to successfully deliver service improvements
Experience of delivering computer systems validation activity to satisfy regulatory standards.

Desirable criteria

Subject Matter Expert in a Pathology discipline (e.g Blood Transfusion, Histopathology, Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, Microbiology)
HCPC Registration
Experience of line management
Experience of participation in ‘system-wide’ change management projects

Qualifications

Essential criteria

Educated to degree level or with the equivalent professional experience
Evidence of continuing professional development

Desirable criteria

Formal training in process change methods e.g./ LEAN
Project Management qualification
