A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to contribute to the success of one of the largest Trusts in East Anglia as a Deputy Associate Director of Operations in our Surgery, Gastroenterology and Anaesthetics Division.

This is a key senior leadership role within the Division. As part of our innovative clinical and operational structure you will work closely with divisional colleagues, Clinical Leads and Speciality Matrons to ensure safe, efficient and high quality care is delivered to all our patients.

You will also be responsible for leading your current Clinical Delivery Group in the form of the General Manager position on a day to day basis and supporting the implementation of forthcoming initiatives. In this role you will develop the service within a business focused environment which delivers best practice whilst maintaining financial performance.

You will have healthcare or NHS experience and possess a strong track record of operational delivery, strong financial management knowledge and skills, coupled with effective leadership skills. You will also have the ability to develop strong, productive and collaborative relationships both internally and with key stakeholders.

  • Deputise for the Associate Director of Operations and lead on key divisional projects across the Division. To also be the accountable lead for the Clinical Delivery Group.
  • Be responsible for policies and service improvement and make recommendations to the Operations management team where policy changes are required.
  • Ensure the key performance indicators for the service are met through effective operational planning of the service and allocation of resources.
  • Liaising with external agencies as appropriate, including being the first point of contact for the portfolio.
  • Responsible for budget and physical resources such as estates and equipment within the portfolio.
  • Attending Divisional Board meetings and being an active member of the senior management team.
  • Assess the revenue consequences of new equipment and new developments in the CDG and of new consultant appointments.
