EPUT ‘Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust’ is recruiting for Immunisation Healthcare Assistants to work within our Immunisation service to deliver the flu vaccination programme this Autumn in Essex. The service will be delivered through a school based model, offering flu vaccinations in both primary and secondary schools. The role will include both administrative and clinical elements.
Main duties of the job
The immunisation service in EPUT is recognised nationally for its innovative and creative service modelling. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality flexible services and are looking for like-minded people to join our teams.
We will require you to have well developed communication and organisational skills and be able to work as part of a team and autonomously under direction.
The post holder must like children and have a compassionate manner when dealing with large groups of children and be able to work in a busy school setting.
The post holder must have good administrative skills as this role is both school and office based and you will be required to work across both areas.

The Immunisation Teams are based at seven localities across Essex and deliver to their local communities through a school and clinic based programme of vaccination delivery.
We are looking to recruit a number of Band 3 staff to support this delivery, requiring the post holder to be adaptive to working both clinically and administratively as required.

- Education to GCSE grade C /equivalent level including Maths and English
- Knowledge of the UK vaccination programme
Desirable criteria
- Experience working within an immunisation service
Skills/Experience
Essential criteria
- To have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of SystmOne electronic child records
