Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The Princess Alexandra Hospital as a Business Change Manager working within the Clinical Support Services Division. This role is an opportunity to become part of a team of Business Change Managers that are embedded within the trusts clinical divisions supporting the delivery of the Trust’s strategic goals outlined in PAHT2030, including a new hospital for Harlow and our wider communities.
Main duties of the job
You will work with the Clinical Support Services Division on all aspects of business management including the production and delivery of business plans and key business and financial projects. The post will be central to implementing the vision of the Trust and supporting specialities with delivering their clinical strategies. The post will contribute to the development of the overall strategic direction of services with a particular focus on pathway development, Quality Improvement Programs, data analysis and clinical effectiveness.

Essential criteria
- Educated to a degree level or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- Relevant Post-graduate qualifications or equivalent experience
- System redesign qualification e.g., LEAN, six sigma
- PRINCE2 / Programme Management qualification/ training qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Knowledge and previous experience of development of services and service transformation
- Organising and delivering complex project plans, business cases and strategy documents
Desirable criteria
- Experience in delivering QI training
- Experience in facilitating the delivery of QI projects, through coaching and mentoring
Skills
Essential criteria
- An innovative and creative thinker with the ability to identify business opportunities
- Skilled in the use of software packages to support the creation of high quality business cases, tenders, and reports.
- An ability to convey highly complex and sensitive material accessibly and compellingly.
- Ability to plan and prioritise own work and that of others to meet required deadlines
- Skilled in building productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Desirable criteria
- Ability to coach and mentor colleagues in Quality Improvement methodologies
