Job overview

We are looking for keen enthusiastic and dedicated people to provide an efficient, effective and highest possible standard of cleaning to wards and department.

To work without constant supervision and be able to work as part of a team. To observe current Health & Safety Regulations, adhere to the Control of Substance Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Policy and the Waste Policy.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide an efficient and effective cleaning service.
  • Work in a self-motivated and professional manner.
  • To work well with all disciplines of staff and may be required to take direction from other professional staff from time to time.
  • Required a courteous and helpful approach to patients, visitors and staff is essential.
  • A sensible, safe conscious approach to work is necessary at all times as well as strict observance of the Trust’s policies and procedures.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford, and St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping.

We employ 3,500 staff and serve a local population of around 350,000 people living in west Essex and east Hertfordshire, centred on the M11 corridor and the towns of Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford and Epping. Our extended catchment area incorporates a population of up to 500,000 and includes the areas of Hoddesdon, Cheshunt and Broxbourne in Hertfordshire.
