Join our People Hub Team at the Princess Alexandra Hospital

We are looking to expand our team with a driven and compassionate professional who has a high quality of standards through a customer-focused approach.

The People Hub team work to support our people and prospective candidates throughout the onboarding process and future requirements. Our people hub team will provide helpdesk and administrative support for resourcing and first line response for people queries whilst reinforcing our Trust Values.

As our People Hub Advisor you will provide advice, guidance and support for transactional processes that oversee people compliance which can include right to work, pre employment checks and visa requirements and more. As part of a team of 5 people you will work collaboratively as well as independently.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertaking employment check appointments, face to face or virtual, including Right to Work and identification checks
  • Completing terms and conditions/contracts of employment and amendments to terms and conditions
  • Management of the ticketing system.
  • Inputting of employment checks onto ESR and ensuring these are kept up to date
  • Ensuring all relevant paperwork/documents is in the appropriate employee files according to protocols

  • Completion of internal recruitment, including pre-employment checks
  • Supporting the completion of projects or tasks as requested from the resourcing partners

We employ 3,500 staff and serve a local population of around 350,000 people living in west Essex and east Hertfordshire, centred on the M11 corridor and the towns of Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford and Epping. Our extended catchment area incorporates a population of up to 500,000 and includes the areas of Hoddesdon, Cheshunt and Broxbourne in Hertfordshire.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to NVQ level 4/ Certificate in personnel practice/CIPD/Human Resources (or equivalent and relevant experience)

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Effective use of candidate management systems and HR databases
  • Experience of working with confidential, sensitive data
  • Building and fostering multiple and numerous relationships, up to and including Senior Management
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of reporting and presenting reports

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Working knowledge of Employment Law relating to Recruitment
  • Knowledge of effective application of high volume recruitment best practice
