An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Emergency Medicine Division at Ipswich Hospital in our Short Stay Unit - Capel.
We are looking for inspiring individuals to join our team. You will need to have proven experience at a band 5 in the acute medicine environment.
We are looking for a enthusiastic, flexible, well-motivated registered nurses, who thrive on working at a fast pace, is quick thinking and able to work well under pressure.
You'll be working with friendly, motivated, supportive teams to provide excellent patient care.
We are looking for individuals who are keen to develop and deliver excellent clinical care. You must be motivated to drive forward & improve the services for the population of Ipswich & surrounding area. In turn, we are keen to give you the opportunity to develop your skills whilst supporting you in your career development.
We would welcome candidates with experience within acute medical settings who are keen to progress their career within urgent care.
If you have good juggling skills to be able to balance operational delivery, patient safety, quality and patient experience this could be the challenge you are looking for!
Main duties of the job
To work within the framework for Clinical Governance to provide effective, high quality individualised nursing care to patients and relatives/carers and to contribute to the continuing development of nursing practice.
To work within the Trust’s Competency Framework for Registered Nurses, the Ward/ Department Philosophy and the NMC Code of Conduct/ Professional Standards for the Protection of Patients.

- Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration
- Evidence of ongoing professional development

- Experience of delivering evidence based practice
- Team / people management
Desirable criteria
- Experience in ward coordination
- Experience in medical assessment

- Awareness & understanding of current initiatives
- Good knowledge of infection control procedures/initiatives
- Possession of organisational skills

- Extended nursing skills i.e. Cannulation, Venepuncture, undertaking ECGs
