An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic and professional Capital Projects Team within Estates and Facilities at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

We are seeking a talented Project Manager, who is keen to secure an interesting role here at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. Reporting to the Group Director of Capital Projects, the successful post holder will be responsible for the delivery of an extensive and complex program of new and remodeled estates infrastructure, within the MSB Hospital Group and across the whole ICS.

Main duties of the job

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of extensive and complex programmes of new and remodeled estates infrastructure, within MSE and across the whole ICS.

The Trust has a diverse capital programme as part of a multi-year portfolio of projects, with a value of c. £250m to £350m over the next five years.  The successful Project Manager will manage Projects ranging from minor works and backlog investment projects to major schemes up to £35m.

This exciting role requires engagement and co-ordination with a wider range of stakeholders from within other healthcare organisation and beyond.

Ensure projects are aligned with the organisation objectives, strategies, policies and procedures as well as maintaining a good understanding of policies for public sector investment and the development of healthcare estates.

We are seeking an individual with experience in the delivery of complex programmes with strong management and interpersonal skills.

  • Masters level Degree or equivalent experience.
Desirable criteria
  • Other relevant qualifications in construction

Knowledge & Experience

  • Knowledge backed by extensive experience in the delivery of complex programmes of estates capital investment
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of managing mixed delivery teams, including contractors and consultants (20) Experience of receiving highly complex facts and information regarding situations and making judgements (20) Years of relevant experience (20) Ability to seek out new and innovative ways of delivering projects. (10)
