Please note this is an office based role (base to be agreed with successful applicant). 

Hybrid working may be considered following probation period.

 A new opportunity has arisen in a developing role to provide support to the existing Medical Secretariat Team Leaders, working collaboratively with the wider Medical team.  This would ideally suit someone with previous PA/Senior Secretarial experience wishing to develop their skills further in a medical/management role.

 

EPUT Medical Secretariat covers a wide geographical area in Essex (together with some additional areas outside of Essex); this role is therefore a very varied role due to the differing services we provide across the Trust. 

 Your ability to multi-task and prioritise is essential and efficiently as well as being able to communicate at all levels, no two days are the same.

 ·         Provide support/advice to medical administrative staff 

·         Record appropriately all absences within the Team.

·         Ensure cover is in place for medical secretaries during periods of leave.

·         Complete /collate monthly staff salary returns for the Team as required.

·         Maintain staff training records for the Team and ensure they are kept up to date.

·         Be responsible for planning and prioritising, and the distribution of the workload from the clinical team to the medical administration team.

·         Be responsibility for ensuring accurate Minimum Data Sets are submitted by due deadlines.

·         Overall responsibility to ensure that information is accurately recorded in line with CQC and Trust Data Information requirements.

·          To become an effective member of the Medical Secretariat management team, developing productive working relationships with other members of the team, developing, and demonstrating a sound understanding of the aims and business activities of the Trust.  To ensure that all dealings are conducted in a manner that reflects the professional reputation of the Medical Secretariat.

·  To work flexibly to provide efficient, high quality secretarial, administrative and support services to the Consultant Psychiatrist/ Clinical Director and their medical colleagues as required and to maintain office cover.

Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.
