Job overview

We are looking for a fully qualified Level 3 Full and Relevant for Early Years Band 5 Nursery Manager. Candidates should have a passion to thrive to support the Trust Childcare Manager in providing the best childcare experience for children and parents,  based in Little Oaks Nursery at Gloucester Working shifts between 7am - 6pm.

The Gloucestershire Hospitals Nurseries began operating over 30 years ago and are located in Gloucester and Cheltenham. The nurseries offer full day care for 52 weeks per year, from 7.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday for children up until the age of 5.

We employ a high calibre of staff, ranging from Nursery Trainees to Degree Level practitioners.

Main duties of the job

To support the team on the development and implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)   Mentor, support and guide the nursery team to ensure all children at the setting receive a high standard of learning opportunity.  To work along side the Trust Childcare Manager on delivery of  nursery policies, procedure and practice associated to learning and play. 

To actively manage the day to day running of the nursery with support from a deputy,  ensuring a high standard is consistently provided in line with nursery policies and Early Years Framework.

To role model and support the nursery team to deliver the Trust’s values.
