Trosolwg o'r swydd

This post is the first Upper GI and robotic senior clinical fellowship of its kind in the country using the next generation Versius robotic platform. It is a fantastic opportunity to gain peri-CCT clinical experience in a busy Oesophago-Gastric cancer unit which has the largest experience on Versius in the United Kingdom and is leading the way in the development of upper GI robot-assisted surgery.

We have worked closely with the Versius team to develop a bespoke training pathway with continuous assessment of proficiency and access to state-of-the-art training and development materials.

We were the first unit in the country to acquire the Versius platform primarily for Upper GI work and have now completed nearly 200 cases including the first robot assisted minimally invasive oesophagectomy, gastrectomy, complex hiatal hernia surgery, Heller’s cardiomyotomy and adrenalectomy on Versius in the UK.

The post will be based mainly at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital/Cheltenham General Hospital.

The contract for this post will be held by Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GHNHSFT).
