Job overview

This is an exciting and dynamic role which requires excellent administration and coordination skills to support the delivery of The Targeted Lung Health Check Programme (TLHC) in North & Mid Hants. This is a new service; therefore, a new role. This is an opportunity to be integral to the development of the service.

The aim of the TLHC is to introduce a screening programme to those aged 55 – 74 who have smoked during their lifetime to increase earlier diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer and other associated findings.

The service will be delivered in a collaboration approach with an external supplier. The external supplier will be responsible for telephone triage appointments, Nurse led clinical assessments, CT appointments and reporting CT’s.

The TLHC Administrator will be required to support both the clinical and project management elements of the programme under the support and guidance of the clinical governance structure (Clinical Director, Responsible Assessor, Responsible Clinician and Responsible Radiologist), and Project Management team. This will include supporting the TLHC Multidisciplinary Team Meeting (MDT) process, completing patient related correspondence, supporting the data collection, and data inputting process and supporting with the coordination of meetings.  

This role will support the implementation and delivery of the service which will require  a variety of close working relationships internal and external to the Trust. 

Main duties of the job

Work with TLHC clinical governance team to ensure MDTs meetings are held regularly to support the clinical pathway of participants of the TLHC programme.

Co-ordinate and facilitate the MDT meeting

Work with members of the TLHC team to collect and input data to meet Trust and National Audit requirements.

Ensure that patient outcomes for all lung health checks and CT scans are available on hospital-based patient records.

 Support the project manager in coordination of the meeting structure for the service which will include arranging meetings, preparing agendas, and post meeting communications (Taking and circulating accurate minutes of meetings/Action Trackers/Risks

Produce and keep updated operational procedures for administrative elements of the targeted lung health programme.

Propose and take forward service improvement initiatives to ensure an efficient administration support for TLHC clinicians and project management team.

Act as the point of contact for TLHC Stakeholders (external suppliers, primary care, clinical teams etc)

Develop and maintain an effective electronic filing system.

Order equipment and stock for the team as needed
