Job overview

We are recruiting and experienced MRI Radiographer to lead an exceptional team in our MRI unit. The successful applicant will lead on clinical aspects, training and competencies, QA, MRI safety investigations and ensure that the MRI team are kept up to date with current practise and protocols. This post requires great communication skills as not only will you be the daily clinical contact for the radiographers, you will be required to liaise closely and link the team with the MRI Quality Assurance and Clinical Effectiveness Lead, Radiologists, MRI Operational Lead.

 

Main duties of the job

To provide a high quality and efficient MRI service working collaboratively with the Operational MRI Lead, to assess and justify examination referrals and to carry out a wide range of MRI imaging examinations. To evaluate the clinical results in accordance with professional standards and departmental policy.

To maintain the highest quality standard of patient care and imaging.

To participate in the out of hours / on call / extended working day service as required.

      To supervise and assist specialist and junior radiographers.
