This post will be hosted by Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, who will provide access to specialist services and dedicated support & development.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder has joint responsibility with the other Senior Pharmacy Managers in supporting the Associate Director of Pharmacy in the overall leadership of the Pharmacy Business Unit, ensuring the clinical pharmacy service is effectively managed.
- The post holder will act as a clinical pharmacist utilising their clinical knowledge in the management and optimisation of medicines while also continuing to provide core clinical pharmacy duties.
- The post holder will provide clinical leadership on medicines optimisation and quality improvement.
- The post holder will ensure the execution and delivery of safe, efficient and effective pharmacy services to improve patient health and care, promoting high quality, cost-effective and safe prescribing in their environment and assist in the development of future services.
- The post holder will act as a representative of pharmacy in their environment, developing and building relationships with other staff.
- To provide training as required to other pharmacy staff and also to other disciplines.
