PART TIME POST

The Women's Health Admin Team in Basingstoke are looking for a Patient Services Administrator to join them .

As a key part of the Women's Health Admin team, the successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to work well as part of a busy and friendly team.

 

Main duties of the job

This role involves processing referrals made to Gynaecology and booking patients for their first appointments.

Training and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good standard of education with 5 A-C at GCSE level, including English Language or equivalent qualification
  • • Evidence of further education
Desirable criteria
  • IT, administration or customer service qualification

Experience and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in a busy customer focused environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of a wide range of administrative procedures and proven implementation capability. At least one year of experience working in an administrative role.
  • Experience working with the NHS or other public sector organisations.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of using hospital booking and other IT systems (e.g. Patient Centre, CRIS, Viewpoint, PHS, ERS, Transport System, EPR, Badgernet and other IT systems)

Skills and Ability

Essential criteria
  • Effective verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationship with internal and external customers
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience of handling difficult situations
