PART TIME POST
The Women's Health team in Basingstoke are looking for a Patient Services Administrator to join them .
As a key part of the Women's Health Admin team, the successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to work well as part of a busy and friendly team.
Main duties of the job
There are a number of daily tasks involved in this role, including reception duties and booking patients in, and answering patient enquiries over the phone, by email and in person and processing referrals and appointment bookings.

Training and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good standard of education with 5 A-C at GCSE level, including English Language or equivalent qualification
- • Evidence of further education
Desirable criteria
- IT, administration or customer service qualification
Experience and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in a busy customer focused environment.
- Knowledge and experience of a wide range of administrative procedures and proven implementation capability. At least one year of experience working in an administrative role.
- Experience working with the NHS or other public sector organisations.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of using hospital booking and other IT systems (e.g. Patient Centre, CRIS, Viewpoint, PHS, ERS, Transport System, EPR, Badgernet and other IT systems)
Skills and Ability
Essential criteria
- Effective verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationship with internal and external customers
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience of handling difficult situations
