- Qualifications: PgD in Ultrasound or equivalent, HCPC registration, and the ability to travel between our sites.

Main duties of the job
We undertake a variety of examinations for ED, inpatients, outpatients and GP patients including urology, baby hips, MSK, vascular, gynae and soft tissue. We also offer ultrasound access for ambulatory services such as Stroke and Same Day Urgent Care.
As a member of our busy and dynamic department you would be encouraged to be involved in performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including General Abdominal, Gynaecological, Small Parts, Musculoskeletal, Vascular, Neonatal Hip ultrasound examinations and Inpatients, please note that this post does not include Obstetric Ultrasound as this is run by a separate Department. We recently opened a community diagnostic centre at Andover and as part of the role, you will be expected to participate in student Sonographer training and support the service as it develops.

Training & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (DMU), a Post Graduate Diploma (PgD) in Diagnostic Ultrasound from an CASE accredited course in the United Kingdom or equivalent from a associated country e.g. AIU diploma
Desirable criteria
- Additional post graduate qualification e.g. MSc
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrate extensive clinical knowledge of ultrasound scanning techniques and appropriate technology in multiple areas
- Demonstrate experience in an acute clinical setting such as the NHS or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience in research projects/publications
Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to plan and organise a number of complex activities as part of an MDT.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of audit.
