Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Candidates will be responsible for the day-to-day processes within the Health Record Service which include scanning of patient records, Indexing to a high quality and many other associated processes.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and have good verbal communication skills.

Health Records staff work specific shifts within the working week, either 8 am-4 pm or 10am-6pm, also working 1 Saturday in 4 8am-12, late shifts are on a 2:1 ratio per per. i.e. 1 late one week, 2 the next and so on.

Qualifications / training required
Essential criteria
- Literacy and numeracy skills, demonstrable to GCSE (or equivalent) standard
- Trained in use of Trust electronic record systems, (e.g., PAS and eDMS) or similar/equivalent systems
- IHRIM equivalent NVQ3 qualification in Health records or minimum of 2 years’ experience in a health records environment
- Experience and Technical knowledge of transforming images into a digital format
Previous or relevant experience necessary
Essential criteria
- Competent user of computer desktop applications Previous experience working with electronic or paper records.
- Excellent Customer Service skills
