Level 2 or Unqualified Nursery Practitioner
Band 2
Job overview
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us at our Trust Taplins Nursery.
Main duties of the job
Are you a compassionate and caring individual looking to advance your career as a Nursery Practitioner in a fun and nurturing environment? If so, we are seeking enthusiastic Level 2 or Unqualified Nursery Practitioners to join our team at Taplins or to register your interest.
Taplins operates two purpose-built day nurseries supporting our local NHS staff. Being part of the UHS family means you'll enjoy numerous benefits, including a generous holiday allowance and access to a discount scheme.
We provide childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years in our bright and airy nursery, which features a dedicated craft and messy play area and a large, secure outdoor space perfect for adventures. We also offer cosy sleeping areas for when the children need to rest.
Working for our organisation
As one of England's largest acute teaching Trusts, we offer learning and development opportunities to help you achieve the career you aspire to. UHS is rated ‘Good’ by the CQC and in the latest national NHS Staff Survey, we were in the top 10 acute trusts for staff engagement and for staff recommending the hospital as a place to work or receive care.
UHS employees are able to access a range of NHS discounts, are entitled to a minimum of 35 days paid holiday (pro rata), and we offer a generous pension scheme.
Southampton is an attractive place to live and work situated on the south coast, with an international airport and direct trains to London. The New Forest National Park and beaches of the Jurassic coast are also right on our doorstep. The city offers living costs 20% lower than London and 14 schools rated outstanding by Ofsted.
There are opportunities for progression (if that is what you are looking for) within Taplins and the wider NHS. If you are looking to work somewhere you can make a difference, then this could be the job for you as we are always open to new ideas.
