Job overview
We are looking for an experienced administrative assistant for the Integrated Discharge Team at The Royal Hampshire County Hospital. The administration assistant will provide an essential clerical support service to the discharge teams contributing to the overall efficient and effective running of the department. The post holder will be required to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and deal sensitively with queries from patients and staff. The department is a busy expanding unit and therefore flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure is essential.
This role is only open to applicants that currently work within an NHS Trust within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS).

Training and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good standard of Education including Maths and English to GCSE grade C
Desirable criteria
- Achieved NVQ Administration or equivalent
Experience and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Experience of working with IT systems e.g. Word/Excel/Access/ Powerpoint
- Experience of being in a busy environment
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in an NHS environment or public sector
Skills and Ability
Essential criteria
- Excellent Communication Skills including written and verbal
