Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated GPHC registered or soon to be registered pharmacy technician to join our team in Outpatient Pharmacy.
As a member of the Outpatient Pharmacy team, you would contribute to the provision of a range of pharmaceutical services: dispensing and issuing prescriptions, giving advice where appropriate, working alongside pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy dispensers to ensure all pharmacy duties are carried out in accordance with legal guidelines and departmental procedures to meet the needs of our customers.

Main duties of the job
This post would suit somebody with a hospital pharmacy background, or with community pharmacy experience wishing to make a change into the hospital environment. Further training and development will be provided.
You must have successfully completed the relevant training and be registered or soon to be registered with The General Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacy technician.
Candidates will be encouraged and supported to complete their ACPT if not already obtained.
You should have good communication and experience of using computer systems for dispensing, stock control and word processing. You will gain experience with hospital-only medicines and close working with multidisciplinary teams.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
