Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The Senior Transformation Manager, will be a proactive member of the ICB working closely with the West Essex Health and Care Partnership, to improve outcomes for adults and older adults who experience mental ill health in Hertfordshire and West Essex. They will be responsible for delivering key, high profile, commissioning programmes for Adult Mental Health services and Vulnerable Adults on behalf of Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB and West Essex Health and Care Partnership with a focus on Acute Mental Health services (including urgent care).  This will include managing NHS contracts, leading tender exercises, public consultations and strategy development and priority setting.

If you’re an experienced manager with commissioning experience, demonstrate high standards and share our desire to develop, empower and energise clinicians, staff, local people we want to hear from you.  You’ll have a passion for working with partners (NHS, County Council’s, Voluntary Community Faith and Social Enterprises (VCFSE) and the public to make positive changes to deliver innovative and flexible solutions for health and social care services. 

As part of the application and interview we need you to demonstrate how you have led commissioning and strategic direction.  We are looking for someone who wants to champion programmes of work, is professional, highly organised and is able to respond effectively and efficiently to the changing demand of the role working in a partnership matrix way.

Knowledge, Training and Experience

  • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area .
  • Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
  • Project management qualification, skills and/or experience, such as Prince 2 or Managing Successful Projects, with developed partnership working skills.
  • Experience of working in a political environment with an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement.
  • Proven knowledge and experience of commissioning of services/service development.
  • Good understanding of mental health and related services, including autism and dementia.

  • Evidence of planning and delivering programmes and projects and services on time
  • Budget management skills and/or experience, e.g. in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes
