We are recruiting for a Nurse Team Manager who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and passionate senior oncology nurse to lead the Oncology Radiotherapy Outpatient department at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. You will lead a team of experienced nurses and Clinical Support Worker to provide high standards of care for our oncology outpatients.

The department is made up of 24 Outpatient clinic rooms, a Procedure room and a Phlebotomy service providing a service for patients receiving radiotherapy, chemotherapy or immunotherapy for a range of cancers or need support of side effects of treatment.

In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,314 and a maximum payment of £5,436 

The Radiotherapy Outpatient department has a strong focus on MDT working, patient experience and service developments.  As a senior leader you will be part of the wider leadership team collaborating to ensure seamless patient pathways across the cancer centre.

To lead the Outpatient department in delivering of safe, high quality patient care. 

To have operational responsibility for the department staffing, budget and resource, optimizing service delivery and department efficiency. 

To provide specialist nursing care and expertise, both in delivering direct patient care and in support of other staff caring for oncology patients in the department. 

Act as a role model, demonstrating clinical expertise and excellent communication skills that promote evidence based practice, team work and a positive clinical learning environment. 

To work collaboratively with the Senior Nursing Team within the cancer division to provide a streamlined, efficient and effective service to all users and colleagues.
