Job overview

We are recruiting for a Clinical Service Manager who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.  

With strong leadership skills and extensive Nursing experience, you will be responsible  for the provision of high-quality care within the Gynaecology Outpatient Service, providing visible professional leadership, advice, support and clinical expertise at all times.

Main duties of the job

You will work as an integral part of the Nursing Management Team to have overall responsibility for the clinical service delivery at department level whilst working in partnership with the Gynaecology Matron and Service Coordinator.

Provide clinical and managerial leadership to all staff and promote the principle of multidisciplinary and cross site collaboration and teamwork.

Be accountable for the line management of nursing staff, enabling the department to provide the highest standards of care, minimising any risks to service users.

  Promote high standards of professional practice and the delivery of quality care within the corporate policies, protocols and guidelines. 

Be accountable for the delivery and monitoring of robust infection control measures at department level, through relentless vigilance by ensuring delivery of all aspects of the Infection Control Strategy as outlined in Section 3 of the strategy.

Act as a role model for nurses, representing the department and Trust as required and identified by the Gynaecology Matron, Head of Nursing for Women and Children, Clinical Director and Deputy General Manager.
