Job overview
We are recruiting for an Administrator who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The post holder will be responsible for printing and organising clinic lists for the phlebotomy department.
This will involve using the SwiftQueue appointment system and the Pathology ICE system.
Checking that all patients that have booked a blood test have a request on the system and escalating any issues with request forms or the systems to the supervisor.

Main duties of the job
As an Administrator you will select accurately from the ICE system the correct patiens that have been booked a blood test on SwiftQueue and print off all patient request form.
Ensure correct patient information has been selected from the ICE system to correlate with the appointment system and advise of any special instructions that need to be followed prior to blood test.
Communicate effectively with patients in a polite and professional manner working to high customer care levels at all times.
To make telephone bookings for specialist tests and giving correct and accurate advice to patients.
Adhere to the Trusts infection control procedures at all times.
First point of contact for patients who are unwell, to provide support and empathy and to ensure patients are effectively managed in the appropriate manner.

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
