Job overview
We are recruiting for a Senior Physiotherapist - Rotational who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
We offer excellent opportunities for new and experienced band 6’s wanting to enhance their skills. We offer strong professional leadership across the acute therapy service at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. We also offer a community rotation in partnership with Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust.
Our inpatient service covers Acute Trust rotations at Lister Hospital, Stevenage which includes respiratory care, including on call opportunities; orthopaedics; care of the elderly; stroke/hyperacute stroke unit; general medical wards and acute medical assessment.

Main duties of the job
The main duties of the post include assessment and treatment of patients within the wards at Lister Hospital and in their own homes when on community rotation, supervision and mentoring of non-qualified staff and students, taking part in in-service training, and taking a role in service improvement projects.
You will be actively involved in the respiratory physiotherapy on-call service to the whole of the Lister Hospital site.
Ability to travel easily between trust sites independently.

Qualifications/Training
Essential criteria
- HCPC registration
- Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Previous Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous relevant NHS post graduate experience
- Experience of integrated working
- Knowledge of relevant standardised assessment tools and outcome measures
- Evidence of clinical practise influenced by evidence based practise
- Knowledge of advanced anatomy and physiology related to clinical area
- Implementation and adherence to Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Standards/Guidelines
- Ability to promote development in others
- Student placement or staff members supervisor
- Ability to monitor and maintain Best Practice in all aspects of health & Safety – in own practices and of wider service
Skills
