Job overview

We are recruiting for a Booking Clerk to work within the Trauma and Orthopaedics Department who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

Our busy Trauma & Orthopaedics team is looking for a highly organised administrator to work alongside our Pathway Co-ordinator to support with the booking of consent patients and long waiting patients.

Main duties of the job

To book long waiting Trauma and Orthopaedics patients into both short notice and reasonable notice clinics. 

Work closely with the Pathway Co-ordinator to identify patients who need to be seen urgently to ensure patients do not breach. 

You will be responsible for  booking  patients for 'consent' appointments prior to their surgery dates. 

 Identify and inform Pathway Co-ordinator of challenges with capacity. 

You will  support with validation of long waiters and ensuring RTT clocks are correct.
