Job overview

We are recruiting for a Support Secretary who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. 

The post holder will provide efficient administrative support in all aspects of the divisions work. This includes accurate data input of referral letters onto Lorenzo booking and out coming clinic appointments and responding to patient enquiries in a timely and professional manner. You must be able to prioritise your own workload & work independently using initiative and deal with frequent interruptions. 

You will be responsible for organising patient medical notes and documents from around the trust. You will work closely with both clinical and non-clinical staff ensuring a smooth transition for patients through the same day emergency care and diagnostic pathways.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a member of the administration team supporting a team of dynamic cardiac specialist nurses providing expert care to cardiac patients. The well-established team consists of specialist nurses, cardiology secretaries and support secretaries. 

Support secretaries are pivotal to the day to day running of the service working closely to the specialist nurses to deliver patient centred care.

 Main duties will include all aspects of the referral and booking processes, communicating with other specialities within the Hospital, GP's and patients, using NHS systems and adhering to trust protocols and procedures.
