Job overview

This is a unique opportunity to combine a challenging and rewarding role in an environment that offers excellent quality of life and a healthy work-life balance. The Isle of Wight has world-class sailing facilities and good beaches; most of the Island is semi-rural with miles of unspoilt bridleways through National Trust woods and chalk down land, offering spectacular coastal walks in areas of outstanding natural beauty. There are also rapid and frequent ferry/rail links with Portsmouth, Southampton and Lymington (London can be reached in 90 minutes)

Part of the recent £48 million investment as required by the Department of Health, will be used to fund a new and innovative Emergency floor, incorporating a reconfigured and augmented Emergency Department, with Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) facilities, Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), and Diagnostic services.

We are looking for a highly motivated doctor to join the senior middle grade rota covering 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Main duties of the job
