Clinical Site Manager

As a team we provide senior nursing support and advice,
ensuring the smooth running of the site.
Working closely with clinical site managers, all clinical and
managerial staff to assist in resolving clinical concerns and
respond to emergency situations.
To provide clinical leadership and support to clinical colleagues,
ensuring high standards of patient care are maintained across
the whole Trust 24 hours a day.
To proactively lead on the daily review of length of stay and
unblock any internal delays to help expedite discharges.
To act as first line management response to fire, estates and
security alerts outside of normal working hours.
Responsible for first line management of Major Incidents and
Serious Untoward Incidents outside of normal working hours

To lead in the management of the site, patient flows and coordination of clinical activities as appropriate, working closely with clinical and managerial colleagues.
Responsible for the timely provision of information on capacity and the flow of patients through the site,
ensuring efficient utilization of all designated clinical areas.
Ensure the patient pathway is managed in such a way that patients experience a service that is safe, efficient and appropriate to their care needs.
The post holder will liaise closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient and effective multidirectional communication, in order to deliver a high-quality service to the patient and their relatives.
The post holder will liaise closely with members of the Integrated Discharge Team to ensure effective communication is maintained.
The post holder will work closely with the relevant General Managers, Deputy Heads of Nursing and Matrons to ensure timely and appropriate escalation of issues, implementing actions to promote patient pathways.
The post holder will liaise with the On-Call Manager outside of normal working hours, to ensure timely and appropriate escalation of issues, whilst maintaining overall responsibility for ensuring actions required resolving issues, are implemented.
The post holder will have the opportunity to develop their organizational, leadership and clinical skills further in this post.

Qualifications and training

- Completed and obtained RN and has current live PIN on NMC register
- Evidence of post-registration education in accordance with PREP requirements to degree level or equivalent

- Previous experience working in Clinical Site Management
Skills and experience

- Minimum of 5 years post registration experience, ideally 2 years at Band 6
- Liaise with members of the multi-professional team both within the organisation and with external stakeholders, to ensure continuity is maintained and patient flow is maximised
- Demonstrates skills in management and leadership
