Main duties of the job
To support the Theatre Matron in the delivery of the Health & Safety (H&S) and Risk Trust H&S responsibilities, including H&S, fire safety, COSHH and security. To facilitate compliance with legislation in providing appropriate advice.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- General education GCSE Grade C and above
- Care Certificate
Skills and Experience
Essential criteria
- Computer literate and IT skills in Microsoft Office
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Teaching/Presentation skills at personal and group level for small groups and toolbox talks
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Organisational and prioritising skills
Desirable criteria
- A working knowledge of current and impending health and safety, fire safety legislation and COSHH
- Fire warden training
- Previous experience in a care setting
Governance
Essential criteria
- Participates in regular clinical governance activity with evidence of annual audit project or quality improvement activity
- Understands principles and concepts of clinical governance
Personal and Professional Attributes
Essential criteria
- Able to perform tasks to a high standard under supervision
- Ability to follow written & verbal instructions and able to cope in demanding situations
