Dermatology Waiting List Co-ordinator

Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity in Dermatology to become part of the waiting list co-ordinator team to be based at the Friends Dermatology Centre and the Kent and Canterbury hospital. 

This is a new position to help schedule patients for their surgery dates, as well as work with the Dermatology team in achieving national and local targets. 

The Friends Dermatology Centre is located at the Kent and Canterbury hospital within the 1937 building. The department has access to their own procedure rooms and a wide range of clinicians undertaking surgical lists. This is an exciting opportunity to join a flexible, dynamic and close working team. 

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be part of the Dermatology Team and will be responsible for the day to day compiling of waiting lists, the co-ordination of scheduling patients and the effective utilisation of theatre lists on a day-to-day basis.  To ensure this is appropriately managed this will require providing and receiving complex and sensitive information. They will manage waiting lists ensuring compliance with local and national targets and the Trust’s Patient Access Policy. The co-ordinator is responsible for the administrative role within the patients’ pathway from the decision to treat electively, to the date of admission.
