Radiology Department Assistant

Job overview

We are looking for  enthusiastic Radiology Assistants to work within all modalities of Radiology assisting Radiographers, Nurses and Radiologists in the care of patients undergoing radiological procedures and provide support to all health care professionals within the multi-disciplinary team.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a team. This post will include shifts between the hours of 8am – 8pm, including weekends and bank holidays

Main duties of the job

To assist in the care of patients undergoing radiological procedures; across multiple modalities. Undertaking clinical procedures under supervision; contributing to patient care and safety whilst in the department.

A key element of the role is to provide administrative assistance to ensure effective work flow.

You will be required to work in all areas of the department including MRI, CT and Ultrasound.
