An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the recruitment team as a Senior Recruitment Specialist.
The post holder will ensure provision of an efficient and effective recruitment service in line with our recruitment policy. You will need to be customer orientated and a committed individual who enjoys providing a first class service to managers and candidates. This role will also involve international recruitment requirements across all disciplines within our organisation.
This position will not be supported for visa sponsorship. All applicants are expected to have valid right to work document to work in the UK when applying for this position.

Main duties of the job
Working in a busy environment as part of a supportive team you will manage the international recruitment and associated administration activity. The role will involve working as part of a busy team, liaising with managers and candidates to ensure that all recruitment requirements are met. You will also be required to provide advice, guidance and administrative support when needed to other team members.
The workload is varied and therefore your ability to prioritise your work with minimal supervision is essential. Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail are also paramount.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Responsible for the day to day management of the international recruitment function within the Trust, ensuring an effective and efficient service is delivered to support service areas
- Develop, manage and implement arrival, orientation, induction and integration processes for international staff
- Be the first point of contact for any international recruitment queries or issues that need resolving i.e. visa and immigration rules.
- Ensure that the Trust’s image as a professional employer is maintained at all times, through the provision of correct and appropriate information within both internal and external forums
- Coordinate shortlisting for international nurse recruitment using the Trust recruitment system
- Work with stakeholders across the organisation to encourage engagement and participation with Values Based International Recruitment.

- As required, participate in project teams and manage specific project work streams that are relevant to the recruitment service i.e. integrated identity management, Trac, NHS Jobs and other ESR interfaces.
- Ensure pre and post recruitment and selection processes are compliant with all legislative requirements, Trust policy and practice, NHSLA and the Care Quality Commission framework.
- Coordinate pre arrival pastoral care functions to support the integration of international applicants into DGT and England
- Maintain and develop clear process maps and supporting information for managers and staff regarding the recruitment service
- Ensure compliance with Equal Opportunity and Diversity legislation by ensuring that there are processes in place to monitor policies and procedures which take these into account.
- Provide information and statistics as required to both internal and external bodies i.e. Local Area team; Regional Commissioning Board, Executive Directors, HR colleagues etc.
- Working on any ad hoc international projects as required
- Be a Point of contact for any team queries and concerns

Education and Training
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
- GCSE standard of general education
- Evidence of CPD
Desirable criteria
- Studying for CIPD qualification
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- Knowledge and understanding of employment law, Immigration processes and regulations, and Disclosure and Barring checks as they apply to the NHS recruitment process
- Highly developed organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- IT literate with knowledge of software including Word and Excel
- Ability to prioritise own workload, responding to changing demands
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Desirable criteria
- Understanding of NHS terms and conditions of employment and immigration law
- Knowledge of ESR, TRAC and NHS jobs
Experience

- Previous experience of working within an administration role
