Our Trust is rated Outstanding by the CQC and has scored highly in the recent NHS staff survey. We aim to empower people to live well and we also aim to be the best employer; we know that the people working in our teams are the key to our success.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic and caring individuals to join our Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Service as a Clinical Physiotherapy      Assistant.

This role involves supporting our Physiotherapists to deliver physical programmes of care, both in a group setting and on a one to one basis.

You will need excellent communication skills, to support patients to undertake prescribed physical rehabilitation programmes and to be able to motivate and persuade patients to overcome barriers to physical activity and also promote healthy lifestyle choices. Delivering group programmes is a key part of this role, as well as supporting patients to develop long term self-management strategies, linking into resources available in the local community.

Please note, this vacancy does not meet the criteria for skilled worker sponsorship.  Therefore, we are unable to accept applications from candidates that cannot provide documentary evidence of right to work in the United Kingdom.

These posts are based in our MSK Physiotherapy Departments at Royal Victoria Hospital Folkestone, Dover Health Centre and Victoria Memorial Hospital Deal. However, you may be required to deliver services at our other sites as required. Car travel costs are reimbursed for travel within working hours. You will need a good level of basic IT skills, as some duties will also be done virtually. KCHFT utilises electronic patient records, as well as a number of electronic staff systems.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to fill this post, ideally with experience in a health promotion, exercise or health and social care setting.  You should have a relevant level 3 qualification (NVQ / QCF Diploma or certificate of care / advanced apprenticeship) or willing to work towards achieving this level. Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/ GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths). Specific training for this role will be provided.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible, embrace change and innovation, work well under
pressure and be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Full time hours are preferred but part time hours will be considered at a minimum of 30 hours per week. Interviews will be held on Tuesday 10th September via MS Teams
