We are recruiting for a Breast Screening Office Manager who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

Main duties of the job

The post holder should be highly motivated with excellent organisational skills, due to the varied and demanding aspects of the role.  They should have excellent computer skills and be proficient in excel.

The post holder would be required to have a staff management background, as well as good communication skills.

To oversee the daily running and management of the breast screening programme.  To work alongside and manage the breast screening admin team, based at Medway as well as working in conjunction with the programme management team and colleagues at East Kent Hospitals and Maidstone Hospital.

Booking appointments

Management of the very high Risk screening programme

clinical data entry

Interval cancers and associated paperwork

SOP's and work Instructions

Adhering to national breast screening service right results pathway

KPI maintenance

Attendance at meetings with internal and external colleagues, both on and off site.

Management of outsourced letters via Synertec

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Recognised English and Maths qualification
  • Degree or equivalent level of management experience

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • To demonstrate an understanding of the Breast Screening Programme
  • Knowledge of windows based systems such as Excel

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of supervising/managing staff
  • Previous office experience
  • Dealing with the general public
  • Previous NHS Experience

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Good Analytical & judgement skills
