Main duties of the job

To support the women during the procedures. 

Ensure the clinic is ready, clean, fully stocked and preapred following infection control policies. 

To assist the Practioner during the clinic. 

To perform pregnancy and urinalysis testing, observations. 

GAU is now paperless so IT skills are beneficial.  Full training will be provided.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Ambulatory Gynaecology consists of clinics in area 7. The succesful candidate will be assisting in the Early Pregnancy Assesment clinic, Colposcopy, rapid access, minor procedures, nurse smear, urogynaecology and the Gynaecology Asseament Unit. 

The clinical support worker works within the team in all the areas following a full training package. 

We are recruiting for a Band 2 Clinical Support Worker to work in our team within Ambulatory Gynaecology department, who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

  • Evidence of a General Education e.g. GCSE’s or equivalent

Knowledge

  • Understanding the requirements of Patient Confidentiality
  • Knowledge of Hospital Systems

Experience
