Advanced Healthcare Assistant

NHS AfC: Band 3

Job overview

The NHS is changing. More emphasis on community-based care means there’s never been a better time to join us.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Advanced Healthcare Assistant to join our caring and progressive team in Gravesend Urgent Treatment Centre.

Our hospitals are nurse-led and focus on holistic rehabilitation and therapy for people who need extra help to get home, or who are nearing the end of their life.

It’s a relaxed atmosphere, but it’s never a breeze – you’ll need to think on your feet and be confident in making independent decisions on behalf of the patients in your care, under the direction of the nurse in charge.

Main duties of the job

Our Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC) are staffed by an experienced multidisciplinary teams including GP’s, Advanced Nurse and Emergency Nurse Practitioners, Paramedic Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Health Care Assistants and Receptionists.

The UTC will see a cohort of patients with minor to moderate injury
and illness referred by the 111 service and those who choose to walk in.

Our patients could be any age
