We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Specialist neurodevelopmental nurses on a permanent and fixed term basis to join our caring and progressive team in Gravesend.

You will work as part of a close-knit team who are dedicated to the health and wellbeing of people in Gravesend.  Gravesend is made up of a diverse patient group with complex needs.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • To facilitate the assessment and management of children and young people referred for assessment: ensuring the quality of care provision using Trust policies and guidelines and care pathways.
  • To support diagnostic assessments undertaken by medical staff
  • To assess for clinical prioritisation and create robust plans of care
  • To regularly evaluate the service provided for children/young people whose lives are affected by neuro-developmental disorders, advising of changes to the delivery of care if they are needed. 
  • To provide support, education and advice to children with neuro-developmental disorders and their families, carers, health and education and other agencies, CAMHS, Social Services and 
    other professionals. 
  • To provide and integrated service working closely with the paediatricians and other neuro-developmental nurses and liaising with CAMHS in selected cases.
  • To improve an understanding knowledge and management neurodevelopmental conditions.

  • Registered Nurse (RNLD, RMN, RN, RCN)/ SCPHN Qualification or equivalent experience.

  • Community Nursing qualification. Masters level qualifications or equivalent experience. Non - Medical Prescriber

Experience

  • Significant experience as a Band 6 nurse level in paediatrics or children’s services. A sound understanding of young people and difficulties that they can experience Confident in working with young people and their parent/guardian

  • Community Paediatric background Specialist nursing background in developmental needs e.g. specialist schools.
