Occupational Therapy Technician - East Kent

Job overview

We are looking for an Occupational Therapy Technician to support our Clinical, Rehab & Therapy Services in East Kent. 

Your role will be to provide a comprehensive minor home adaptation service to patients where there is an urgent medical need, e.g. to support Hospital Discharge, Prevent Admission, Palliative Care, or where there is a Rapid Response intervention.

Main duties of the job

Your role will be to support the work of the Occupational Therapists through the provision and installation of minor adaptations in homes.

You will provide advice to Prescribers relating to safety aspects of minor adaptations requested and to demonstrate Technician services to referring clinicians as required.

You will also identify when patients require further intervention from Prescribers or within the remit of a Trusted Assessor regarding the adaptations requested and refer back as appropriate

 

 

 

Additional Working Pattern: 7.5 hours each day Monday to Friday
