Job overview

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Consultant Clinical Psychologist to join our well-established and dynamic Rehabilitation & EIP Service. It is a fantastic time to join the senior leadership team as we launch Community Rehabilitation in West Kent.

You will have experience in clinical leadership, management of psychological practitioners & service development. So if you have a passion for providing exceptional psychosis services and are looking for an exciting and challenging role, we would welcome your talents and skills.

Main duties of the job

The role demands significant experience in consultation for complex cases, supervision of other practitioners,  facilitating reflective practice and teaching staff psychological approaches in multi-disciplinary teams. Clinically, experience of delivering high-quality assessment and bespoke interventions, with a specific focus on people in distress, related to severe mental health problems (esp. psychosis with co-morbid conditions like ASD, substance misuse,  physical health issues) will be required.

You will have plenty of scope and support to develop your own practice, whilst supporting the team in providing high-quality services and working with a variety of partners to deliver effective care.

The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Working for our organisation

Come and work with us in the Garden of England where we combine exceptional professional development opportunities with a tremendous quality of life.

We are Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT), providing mental health, learning disability and specialist services, serving 1.8 million people across the county.

The Trust (rated Good overall by the CQC and Outstanding for care) has 3,283 staff working in 66 buildings across 33 locations, covering an area of 1,450 square miles.

You will be joining friendly, passionate colleagues, rich in their diversity, who are committed to providing excellent care to our service users and their loved ones.

The nature of our work attracts kindness and compassion as standard and everyone from our cleaners and porters to the chief executive and chairman are recognised as playing a vital role in providing an exemplary service.
