With so much information to share, with a range of different audiences, the KMPT Research and Innovation Department are seeking to recruit a Research Content Creator Apprentice, to develop insightful and engaging content that educates and inspires our stakeholders. We have a mission to make research part of everyday life and accessible to all. By joining the team, you will have opportunities to develop your skills alongside passionate, knowledgeable, and supportive colleagues.

This post is based at our office in Beech House, Hermitage Lane, Maidstone, Kent ME16 9PH for 37.5 hours per week (some homeworking) The post holder will study Content Creator Apprenticeship at level 3

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an outstanding and driven apprentice to develop their skills in digital storytelling and content creation to join our forward-thinking Research and Innovation department, supported by the communications and engagement team.

You will help us shape our social media content and digital activity to get more people involved in mental health research by joining our research community.

 You will be an innovative, creative person who has a keen interest in developing scroll-stopping content that informs, inspires, educates and nurtures our various online communities. KMPT is evolving how it communicates with its audiences, placing an increasing emphasis on video, therefore be supported to create, film, edit and script video content. You will also be supported by the communications and engagement team that will encourage your creativity and development in the digital communications space.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

·       To maintain and develop all digital platforms and channels for the Research and Innovation department (X, Padlet, KMPT intranet, KMPT external webpages)

·       To support with the development, implementation and management of social and digital campaigns and content across internal and external communications, ensuring activity is aligned to our brand, promotes who we are, what we do and our organisation’s values

·       To develop and shape a consistent and engaging suite of branded social and digital content in a variety of formats that is optimised for different digital channels, with a specific focus on video content creation.

  • Understanding of video production processes including scripting, filming and editing.
  • Basic understanding of web and social media analytics tools

  • Ability to develop original content ideas that resonate with audiences
  • Basic skills in graphic design tools such as Canva
  • Ability to interpret data and use insights to improve content performance
