Job overview

The Therapy Administration Team are seeking a part-time administrator to join the team. The successful candidate will act in a co-ordinator and liaison role within the Therapy Assisted discharge Service (TADS) and the administration team of Therapies.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include maintaining activity databases, taking messages, coordination of communication with community team, administration of referrals, equipment orders,  meetings, healthcare records, and caseload administration

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE or Equivalent in Maths and English
  • Computer literate including good knowledge of software programmes and IT skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Experience/Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Two years Administrative Experience
  • Experience of working as part of a team and alone
  • Experience with reception and telephone duties
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in, or with, community health and social care services

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Excellent communication skills, dealing with people with a positive approach
  • Able to diffuse confrontational situations
  • Ability to organise, prioritise own work and use initiative
  • Ability to comprehend and work within the Trust’s policies on data protection, equal opportunities, health & safety and meet the differing needs of the patients
