Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Support Secretary within the Clinical Administration Unit at Tunbridge Wells Hospital  working in the ENT department. 

A good range of secretarial skills, including knowledge of medical terminology, audio word-processing etc is required. The ability to organise your day and work as part of a team are also desirable. Applicants should be confident, self-motivated and be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, along with a flexible approach to duties. The applicant should be able to demonstrate an interest to learn new skills.

They should also hold relevant secretarial / audio / word-processing qualification and ideally have previous NHS /Medical experience.

A typing test will be required as part of the interview process. 

Working days to be discussed at interview. 

Main duties of the job

You should be self - motivated with the ability to work in a busy and pressured environment. You should be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, along with a flexible approach to duties.

You should also hold relevant secretarial or audio  typing qualifications and have previous secretarial or PA experience. Knowledge and experience within the Health sector would be beneficial but not essential.

The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 760,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.
