Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Management Accountant based at Hermitage Court Maidstone (5 minutes walk to Maidstone Hospital). This role will be supporting the Medicine and Emergency Division, ideally applicants should be partly qualified and studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.

You would be expected to have experience working within the Finance function ideally within an Acute Trust environment and possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels.

Please note the finance department work a hybrid working pattern which will therefore require 2 days in the office with the reminder working from home.

Main duties of the job

You should be enthusiastic and be able to work with little supervision to tight deadlines, have extensive experience using a computerised ledger system and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Essential criteria
  • Qualified AAT or CCAB part qualified or relevant appropriate experience of NHS finance within acute Trust or similar environment.
  • Experience working within the Finance function
Desirable criteria
  • Actively pursue own training requirements
  • Experience working within financial management of an acute Trust

Experience and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Experience of Financial ledger system
  • Requires excellent IT skills - in depth knowledge of Word, Excel spreadsheets and Access databases
