Senior Booker - Rapid Access Ophthalmology

Job overview

There is an exciting opportunity to work in Ophthalmology CAU as a Band 4 Senior Booking Clerk for the Rapid Access eye clinic. You will be part of a team that provides Ophthalmology services.  

The role is pivotal in helping to manage the Ophthalmology CAU team at Maidstone Hospital. This includes sight saving outpatient clinics and waiting list management.

Main duties of the job

Previous experience of CAU’s and the how to book patients on to treatment lists is ideal. You should be resilient, motivated, organized, work well under pressure and have exceptional communication skills. You will work closely with the CAU Team leader and Service manager to ensure the trust access policy is adhered to and that all admin related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met with remedial actions put in place when necessary.

You will support the CAU Lead, liaising with other departments, patients and relatives, as well as clinical colleagues to ensure that patient admissions are appropriately planned and managed.
