Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-motivated and efficient individual to work as part of a team covering reception and the administration office based at our Occupational Health department. You will be working in a friendly team, assisting with providing services for staff members from all ages and backgrounds.

You will be responsible for providing positive customer service to staff members, dealing with their queries and supporting staff to access our service.

Main duties of the job

The main role of the job will be to provide and prioritise comprehensive administrative support to the Occupational Health (OH) Team and Staff Wellbeing & Engagement initiatives.

You will be dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information every day, therefore a non-judgemental attitude and strong understanding of confidentiality is essential. Your day will be varied covering reception and administration duties ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our service.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • 5 GCSEs including Level 9-5 (A*-C) in Maths and English
Desirable criteria
  • Level 2 Business Administration qualification or equivalent experience in similar role.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Administrative, reception / customer service experience within a busy and fast paced office environment.
  • Significant experience of dealing with the public e.g. face to face, over the telephone and via written format
  • Confident and proficient in the use of various IT packages and systems within a busy office environment, including the Microsoft Office suite (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Confidentiality / Data Protection Act / Information Governance requirements.
Desirable criteria
  • 1 years Customer Service
  • 1-2 years Secretarial and Administrative experience.

  • Confident and proficient in the use of IT within a work environment
  • Effective time management
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build good working relationships at all levels
  • Well organised with the ability to plan and prioritise own work to meet deadlines
