Rotational Pharmacy Technician

We have an  exciting vacancy for a rotational Pharmacy Technician post, rotating between dispensary, stores and clinical ward services. Key duties for the clinical rotation will include taking medication histories and checking patients’ own medicines. In the dispensary rotation duties will include dispensing medication, supervisory skills and clinical trials. In the stores team you will take part in all aspects of stock management, receiving deliveries, over labelling and emergency boxes and learning about procurement of medicines 

The ideal candidate will understand the importance of the Pharmacy Technician role within Pharmacy; be passionate about Pharmacy, Healthcare, providing patient centre care and upholding the GPhC professional standards.

Our core working hours are 8.30 to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday plus  our weekend service 9am to 4pm on Saturdays and 10am to 4pm on Sundays. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the department’s 1 in 6  weekend working rota.

You will be a professionally qualified Pharmacy Technician holding either the BTEC or NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Services; and registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

Experience/Knowledge
