The Rubin Clinic Sexual Health & HIV Services provide expert care on all areas of sexual health, HIV and contraception care across West and North Kent with clinics in Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Gravesend and Dartford. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-motivated and efficient individual to work as part of a team covering reception and the administration office based at our clinic in Tunbridge Wells. You will be working in a friendly team, assisting with providing services for people from all ages and backgrounds with varied sexual health and contraception needs.

 

Main duties of the job

The main role of the job will be to provide a reception service for the Sexual Health Clinic in the Rowan Tree Surgery. You will need to have excellent communication, listening and computer skills to be able to provide an optimum level of customer service. You will be dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information every day, therefore a non-judgemental attitude and strong understanding of patient confidentiality is essential

Essential criteria
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent level of qualification or relevant proven experience
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Administrative, reception / customer service experience within a busy and fast paced office environment
  • Significant experience of dealing with the public e.g. face to face, over the telephone and via written format
  • Confident and proficient in the use of various IT packages and systems within a busy office environment, including the Microsoft Office suite (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Confidentiality / Data Protection Act / Information Governance requirements
Desirable criteria
  • Medical terminology
  • Knowledge of Lilie / Allscripts / ERS
  • Previous hospital system and administration experience and knowledge of administration processes

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Efficient and accurate data entry with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident and proficient in the use of IT within a work environment
